Steve....the ultimate humorist!
Being an avid fan of Fox & Friends already, having watched it for years & years, when I knew Steve was writing a book - first thing I thought, this will be a smash hit! He's hilarious on the show and I knew that it would leak over to his book. I had to get a copy & was the first one in my town that bought one!Unfortunately, not with an autograph :(((
Funniest book I've read in a long time...
I really enjoyed this book. Doocy's humor is so random and dead-on when it comes to marriage, diapers, and snakes. It's a perfect wedding gift, and cheaper than china.

Cute and VERY USEFUL
I haven't read a lot of books on men because I didn't think that I'd find one that I could actually USE. A friend recommended this one and I've been recommending it ever since. A lot of what I used to take as being "normal" I've realized is just weak behavior from men who don't really want me around for what I want to be around for! Good riddance to them!!!!! Half of a man or a piece of a man is NOT EVER acceptable, especially after reading and re-reading this book!

DATING MINIMUM REQUIRED READING

I bought this book because I've been hearing the title tossed about.While stating the obvious dating wisdom, it's not clear for whom this book is for.Is it a "reinflate my ego after the breakup" or a break-up instigator ?Laced with the hackneyed "men are pigs" buzz phrases, this book presents a series of fake letters and "statistics" as real.Email is not an important form of communication ?Has this author never had a good IM or cell-phone message session?That's the modern form for love letters.Perhaps he's just too old to comment on the communication of those currently at breeding age.

Too Many Blurry Pictures
This thing has caused a little rift between Wanda and me. She's not really the adventurous type. I, however, love to let my hair down and go hog wild. Actually, I try to keep my hair up in its ponytail when I can. (been told it makes me look like a much older, fatter Richie Sambora) I guess I'm just what some might call a free spirit. Me and the wife are a little mismatched in this sense, but we stay together for the sake of the girls. (3 more years)

I REALLY like reading quotations & this book is FULL of them, BUT the author, John Shanahan, has attempted his 15 minutes of fame by including his own quotations, most of which I read & said, "HUH??" because they are not up to the same quality as the others. However, it IS his book! Great read, tho!

Powerful Information!
This book is small in size but very SOLID in its IMPACT. It FEELS GOOD and it's got a GREAT LOOK through out . . . however, it sometimes makes a terribly distracting SOUND!
Excellent if a little wierd
Excellent book, very much in tune with Erickson. It provides an understanding of hypnosis...or whatever it is that happens.
Crazy Stuff
I just couldn't stop reading this book. The authors writing is very hypnotic, I found my self drifting off while enjoying this book. He tells you the basics to NLP and Hypnosis and tells a bunch of little stories to really help you understand. I love this book, After I finished I decided I would read it all over again. I would have read it again right after I finished if time had permitted it. But I really enjoyed this book and I can't stress it enough, If you are interested in hypnosis or NLP you NEED to READ this book! IT WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE!

Ridiculously funny!
It's kind of like MTV's JACKASS for readers.I had passed on buying this book several times - but finally gave into my juvenile whims!It is silly and crazy - a fantastic conversation topic.I have tried to do some of the stunts.It really requires that you "put your self out there."If you do all 365 of the activities, you would certainly be a different person.

The book is extremely entertaining and it might save your life, too. It covers scenarios James Bond would aspire to.
tongue in cheek
I enjoyed all of the worst case scenario books.There are several in the series.Each has a few helpful hints but is essentially packed with tongue in cheek advice about surviving various circumstances; your job, parenthood, and this book is a general survival guide.

I bought this book for my son because it's on his "wish list." I laughed so loud in my bathroom that my husband thought I'd won the war with my grey hair again (I pluck them religiously). Insight into the big question in a roundabout and gentle way
This book is a linear commentary on the little things in life. Each page and comment has a picture of an animal that adds meaning to the comment -almost always in a make you smile or outright laugh kind of way.

My son is leftie who LOVES this book
My son is 10 and he LOVES this book!! He quotes it all the time and actually is now insistant that he is superior to all of us right handers.. I love that it makes him feel special!

My bible growing up...
As a lefty child, this book was my bible. I searched high and low for a copy last year after realizing as a grow-up that it was still a book I could enjoy. It does a great job of de-mystifying dominant-handedness while dispensing some interesting biological facts about it (how it's a recessive gene, for example.)It's filled with humorous drawings and fun factoids (did you know that Gerald Ford writes left-handed sitting down, and right-handed standing up?) that anyone -- not just a lefty -- will appreciate.As an added bonus, it succeeds in its goal to provide a good source of self-esteem for lefties who feel left-out.

for the MEN
This is a book by a MAN about MEN and written for the MEN.There are thousands of books written for the benefit of women to help them try to define themselves or understand us from their perspective.This isn't one of them.Women who read this book seeking their own definition or to hear an explaination of us that they agree with are really missing the point.One reviewer went on a multiple paragraph rant demonstrating in no uncertain terms the degree to which she'd missed the point.MEN read this book.There's a lot of male truth between it's pages.WOMEN, we love and respect you dearly, but this book really isn't intended for you.If you truly understand that and read it anyway, then you won't find anything to offend you within it.

Wild and wonderful
I am not a viewer of late night television, so I had never heard of Craig Ferguson before picking up this book. After reading it, I certainly hope that he continues to write books, and especially ones in which his talent for the absurd comes to the fore. This book chronicles the intersecting lives of several well-drawn characters, and they are unusual and funny and sad and heroic all at the same time. The writing is crisp and the plot moves along. The coincidences reminds me of the many that occur in Thomas Hardy's works, although he was a completely different sort of writer. I enjoy books that challenge me to appreciate the effort the author puts into making the unusual appear to be the norm, and this book has that in spades!

Strange first novel
Craig Ferguson is your real old-fashioned polymath. In entertainment, at least, he does a little bit of everything. He's written movies, produced, directed, starred in them, been on a TV show for some years, hosts a late-night talk show, and he sings the theme song for that show. On occasion he actually does the Mike Douglas thing and joins a guest for a little duet, doing something along the lines of a Vegas night club thing from the sixties. It should come as a surprise to no one, then, that he's also written a novel...except of course for you have to wonder where he finds the time.

The Perfect Sweet Sixteen Gift, or Sweet Sixteen Plus One, or Ten, or Thirty...
The range of breathtaking ideas in this book defies description in a review. I'm not sure if I got more out of Gilman's suggestions on financial management, career planning, or spiritual development, and those are just three of her topics. I am sure my husband is glad I've finished the book because I woke him with my laughter several times.
Worthless Outside of Satire.
Susan Jane Gilman, the author of Kiss My Tiara: How to Rule the World as a Smart Mouth Goddess, manages to accomplish two very unique things in these 23 chapters. First, her insight about how women should live their lives is an unintentional best practice guide for how to "lose friends and alienate people." Second, the recommendations made are so glaringly unsubstantiated by fact that they border on being sinister so it will ensure readers of martyrdom as the only place it will lead them is into the abyss.

The Book for People Who Do Too Much
This little book is clever, funny and full of adorable pictures of animals depicting the various states we live in as we go through life trying to do everything. The advice is wise and it's worth reading over and over again.

Although the words ring true throughout the book, it's the photos that capture your attention.A great little book for gift-giving, this book is a welcome addition to any coffee table, end table, office or even bathroom bookshelf. :)

Still a winning formula
At some point in reading Bradley Trevor Grieve's mini-sermons one can't help but get hit by a wave of "Why didn't I think of this?" The idea of taking a simple lecture on enjoying life for what it is and complimenting it with animal photographs that perfectly and often very humorously illustrate his point is so simple that it's genius. In "The Book For People Who Do Too Much" Grieve continues with this formula, and for the most part the results are successful.

SARK....A TRUE ORIGINAL
SARK is a true original.I had the opportunity to spend a weekend at a workshop she ran at Omega in Rhinebeck, NY, and it was truly inspirational.She has earned a forever fan in me! big fan of this author!!!!!
I read HOT MAMA when I was pregnant -- and it was such a fun quick helpful book! Then I dsicovered HAPPINESS IN A BOX -- and loved that -- each card offers a helpful tip on being happy. And I love this HOW TO BE HAPPY DAMMIT book too! Karens humor is a geat way to receive such valuable information! HOW TO BE HAPPY DAMMIT had lots of good insights. One i loved was...Its not he who dies with the most toys who wins but he who has the most fun playing with his toys who wins. as a a busy woman and mom I know I have to take time to enjoy my journey! I love this book. And Im a guy who does NOT read self help books. It was thrust on me by a friend -- a good friend. I found the book engaging and insightful and inspiring. life changing read!
My divorce has been one of the hardest times in my life...and a friend gave me this book when they sensed how lost and stressed I'd become. The lessons in this book meant so much tome. For example DONT GO SHOPPING FOR KIWIS IN A SHOE STORE. SOME PEOPLE JUST DONT HVE WHAT YOU NEED. And then there was another lesson about gardening. YOU HAVE TO ACCEPT THAT SDME PLANTS ARE ONLY MEANT TO LIVE A CERTAIN TIME A CERTAIN SEASON IF YOU TRY TO MAKE THEM LIVE LONGER YOU WILL BE A BAD GARDENER. Delightful illustrations
Tom's style is delightful. I especially loved all the sub-jokes throughout. The style is deceptively simple. Yet there is so much going on, you'll want to reread it and see what you missed.

My five year old grandson really identified with this book!
Such a well written, beautifully illustrated book. My five year old grandson really identified with the little boy in the book. He too gets grumpy when getting a stuffing hug from his gradma, me! It is quite natural for a five year old boy not to want to be hugged and my grandson was glad to see that the boy in the story felt the same way! I highly recommend this book! I will buy more books by the same author.

Incredible book for my talking about social cues and situations
This book is great for my son who has a tendancy to take things quite literally and too seriously.In moments of frustration he loses it!He has trouble reading social cues and it's great how this book talks about feelings and situations that we all have.It opens doors to conversations about real situations that irritate him.While he's calm and laughing we can talk about them and he can see the situation and understand his feelings.

A HOOT
An easy, fun read, but the reviewer SOCIAL CLIMBER from Sonoma CA listed the author's email address incorrectly. It's kevindoyle42@earthlink.net. Doyle answered me with a list of other titles when I contacted him. HOW TO MEET BEAUTIFUL WOMEN and DATING YOUNGER WOMEN are also written with tongue firmly in cheek.

Entertaining Author
When I contacted the author at his email address listed in the earlier review, he answered and said the book was guaranteed to work and if it doesn't he buys the disgruntled reader a new Cadillac. How To Marry Money is full of the same wry humor.

Life changing
This may be the best self-improvement book I've ever read. I had looked at it before and considered it, but always changed my mind because I thought it would make me sad. No, it gave me courage and hope.

Gives the reader a fabulous and funny kick in the pants!
I don't know where the guy in the "spotlight" review gets that this book is all about trying to get married.That is so NOT what this book is about.This book is about reminding women not to waste time figuring out what we think are mixed-messages.It reminds us that when a guy likes you, the message will be clear:he'll be calling you, he'll be complimenting you, he'll be asking you out.If that's not happening, then he's not interested, and you're too fabulous to waste any more time and energy on him.It's just the kick in the pants a gal needs to move on!

Light-weight life saver -perfect bath reading
I gave this to my major fox babe, SaraJ, for *her* 30th along with the Fruit Bats' "Mouthfuls" CD. entertaining and poignant - 30 does not = expiration date!
What this book isn't:1) something you would take seriously.2) something to consult if you are a selfhelp fan.3) something you won't get if you never moved out of your parents' house. Funny but unreal
