3-0 out of 5 stars Well, it could have been worse
I have been a fan on FoxTrot for a long time, and after reading this I must admit I was slightly disappointed. Yes, the comics were witty and intellectual as always, but I wouldn't say that Bill Amend's true creativity was shown in this new book in the collection. However, it was still a funny read, and I would recommend this to all avid foxtrot fans.

5-0 out of 5 stars Another winner
What can I say?I love Fox Trot and I love Bill Amend.

4-0 out of 5 stars You know it is true!
Bill Amend is a people-watcher.You can tell this by how his FoxTrot characters mimic real life situations and issues.Unfortunately, he seems to be spending too much time spying on me!At least that is my perception when I see the goings-on of the Fox family!

FoxTrot follows a family of five through their bizzare everyday lives. Roger, the father, is a mid-level office worker, and his wife Andy is a successful columnist.Peter, the oldest child, is a high school senoir with a passion for sports but without the skill.Paige, the middle child, enjoys shopping but hates schoolwork.Jason, the youngest child, enjoys schoolwork and harrassing his sister.5-0 out of 5 stars Sly Fox

5-0 out of 5 stars VASTLY UNDERRATED COMIC STRIP
Fox Trot is one of my very most favorite strips. While I tend to read the comics mainly around the holidays, Foxtrot is one I try to keep up on all the time.Bill Amend has the two qualities that make a great cartoonist:First, a comical yet adept cartooning style and second: a very witty sense of humor. The Fox Family consists of Mom Andy, Dad Roger, sons Peter and Jason, and Daughter Paige. This cast tackles the situations that all families do in funny and often eccentric ways led by the brainy and altogether greedy youngest son Jason.

4-0 out of 5 stars ANOTHER GREAT FOXTROT COLLECTION
It seems i am not alone in the opinion that when Bill Watterson ended his run on Calvin & Hobbes that Foxtrot became the defacto new favorite of many comic strip fans and with good reason. Bill Amend has the two qualities that make a great cartoonist: First, a comical yet adept cartooning style and second: a very witty sense of humor. The Fox Family consists of Mom Andy, Dad Roger, sons Peter and Jason, and Daughter Paige. This cast tackles the situations that all families do in funny and often eccentric ways led by the brainy and altogether greedy youngest son Jason.
5-0 out of 5 stars "LAUGHTER FOR MY EVERYDAY!!!"
These characters are so easy to identify with that everyone should read FoxTrot... I look foward to FoxTrot to make me laugh when life gets too serious (and we all know life gets too serious sometimes!)... I congratulate this author on developing such simple yet dependable characters that I can see a little bit of each one in myself... this book will make anyone a FoxTrot fan and should be appreciated just for the title... one of the most clever I have ever seen...

5-0 out of 5 stars POSSIBLY THE BEST COMIC STRIP SINCE CALVIN AND HOBBES
This strip is very, very funny. I agree with almost everyone about the strip on page 103 it's sooo funny, but you have to read it to find out what it's about. This comic strip has a perfect set of chaotic charachters, and it's definitely worth reading. I have already converted 3 people at my High School into Foxtrot fans because it's really funny. There are larger collections if you are just getting started reading foxtrot i'd recommend that but if you have the books, then this one's definitely worth buying too. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars FOXTROT RULES!
This book is awesome! This is a A+, 100%, 5 star, simply amazing book! Bill Amend is clearly one of the best cartoonists of our time, right up there with Charles Schulz, Jim Davis, and Scott Adams.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great!
If there's one cartoon comic book you should get, it's "Enormously Foxtrot." Entertaining, witty, and comical, it's the perfect reading during your spare time. Jason continues to play tricks on his sister, Paige continues to physically torment Jason, and Peter is just a regular teenager who has an appetite of a vacuum cleaner. Meanwhile, the parents try to deal with them and their own lives and still be a happy family. This gigantic collection is enjoyable and would help you pass those long hours at home.

5-0 out of 5 stars I cant get enough of it!
Yet another amazing foxtrot anthology, The best word to describe it is just plain funny, this is a good long book, so the humor goes on and on.

5-0 out of 5 stars The Best Comic Strip Since Calvin and Hobbes.
First Bill Watterson retired and there was no more new Calvin and Hobbes. Then Charles Scultz retired and unexpectedly passed away, so many newspapers stopped running Peantus. At first it would seem there isn't anything all that funny left in the funny papers. Ah, but one grand gem remains: Fox Trot.Appearing about half a decade before the funnies started to become unfunny, Fox Trot remains as about the only witty and upbeat comic that can be seen in papers.ASSEMBLED WITH CARE is a collection of two-year's worth of Fox Trot comics. I'm not for sure of the exact dates, but the strips ran around 1999-2000. The stories make grand observations on life, but are also constantly ribbing pop culture and (then) current events. Two of my favorite story lines are the one where Jason and Marcus imagine themselves acting in the just announced production of THE LORD OF THE RINGS (the director looks like a hybrid between Steven Spielberg and Peter Jackson) and the series that ran the week that Y2K could have happened (the comic strip finds itself back in 1900).A great collection of one of the best comic strips still being written.

5-0 out of 5 stars A great read
It's a funny book and all but there is just one thing - not just about this foxtrot series but all of them - it's that fox family always stay the same, no one ever grows up.Paige is always starting her first year in high school, peter is always staying a junior and taking a physics and trig class and jason is being jason as usual.Although maybe I'm wrong, maybe if they did grow up the show wouldnt be funny anymore...I dont know but it's still funny though.BUY THIS BOOK!!!IT'S FUNNYreaaaaaaly funny.

5-0 out of 5 stars Foxtrot Mania
This book was the first Foxtrot book I ever got, the second was "Beyond A Doubt", and Jason and Marcus in this one are your typical geeky guys who think girls have cooties. At a sleep-away camp they go to for the summer there are 2 girls who do there best to out-do them in every way. This, of course, leads to hilarious situations. Anyone pondering the thought of buying a Foxtrot book. This one is the way to go. Of course, they're all great!

Whenever I am down or am just having the worst day in the world, I usually need to read or watch something funny.A lot of times I read comics like Calvin and Hobbes and FoxTrot.FoxTrot is always funny and is able to get more than a laugh or two out of me.Here is another excellent FoxTrot collection by the great Bill Amend; "Encyclopedias Brown and White."4-0 out of 5 stars Same old, same old... but good as ever!
Foxtrot is finally getting to the point where the strips seem familiar even when they are brand new.Still, it's one of my favorite strips for the charactors and brand of humor... and I'll keep reading (and buying!) until this one turns into another Garfield or fades off into the sunset like C&H. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Fox Blast From The Past
I bought this book quite some time ago, and still read it every so often! Very few comics -- actually only one other (The Far Side) can make me REGULARLY laugh out loud as often as Bill Amends' Fox Trot does. How he has come up with such regularly hilarity for over a dozen years is beyond me, but here it is in black and white (and some color). Some of them are so funny, that I even laugh outloud the second time I read them!

5-0 out of 5 stars Foxtrot is the Greatest!
This is a comic strip that I could read over and over and still get a kick out of. I have read all the books and they are all great. Bill Amend is a very talented at this game, and I can't wait for the next book! I thoroughly suggest these books; everyone that I've suggested them to gets hooked on them too!

5-0 out of 5 stars Foxtrot is the best.
This book brings the "funny". after the recent end of the Peanuts cartoon and the steady decline of Garfield I believe that Foxtrot should become the new "hit" comic. this comic brings everyday life of the american family and puts a terrific funny spin on it. well it'sup to you to read this book but if you do you will be laughing for hoursand that goes for all the other books as well. ... The fun and hilarity never ends with the Fox Family. There's always some kind of chaos or mayhem going on--mainly created by the youngest, Jason Fox.If there hasn't been a problem that has confronted the Fox Family, just wait. They're always having to deal with a crisis that leads to hilarious results.5-0 out of 5 stars This Family is Definitely Fruity
